MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER STABBING, SLASHING
By SIMONE BYLINE

Covered with blood, a stabbing victim staggered into the emergency ward of Resolute’s Valeur hospital last night. 31-year old Barty Davis was stabbed in the neck and his stomach was slashed open. Davis lost consciousness shortly after arriving at the hospital, but police estimate that he stumbled ten blocks from the initial crime scene. One witness, who has asked to remain anonymous, has not provided any information that has been helpful to police. So far, Resolute City Police have not been able to identify the attacker or attackers. Doctors are not optimistic that Davis will recover, and are searching for his assailants. Anyone in the 182 block of Cawthorn Drive between the hours of eight and nine p.m. are encouraged to call police with any information, however trivial it may seem.
